Smith and Nephew's Allevyn Gentle Border 4 x 4 Inch Border uses a comfortable dressing and combines it with a firm, but friendly, adhesive that doesn't effect the skin negatively. The thick padding allows for a lot of exudate to be lifted from the wound area, assisting in the healing process. The three-inch squared pad is able to cover a small exudating wound with relative ease, and the four-inch squared border secures the item without causing further damage to the skin. The Gentle Border works well for all wound types including surgical, malignant, infected and granulating. They're also a perfect choice for first and second degree burns and donor sites.
