Description
Sensi-Care Protective Barrier uses zinc oxide and petrolatum, to treat and prevent diaper rash. Diaper rash typically occurs when the skin has prolonged exposure to damp diapers. The cream creates a barrier wherever it is applied. This barrier helps reduce redness while preventing irritants such as urine, feces, and friction from making the rash worse.
To use, simply wash and dry the skin after removing the soiled diaper. Then, liberally apply the smooth barrier cream to the diaper area. This is especially helpful at bedtime or whenever you can be exposed to wet diapers for a prolonged time.
Although primarily for diaper rashes, it can be used to increase comfort when using j-pouches or g-tubes or other situations where the skin may become irritated. This protective cream is safe for all ages and super gentle too. Also, the reason it is so easy on the skin is that it is free of fragrances and dyes. Remember, this cream is made for application to the skin and should not come in contact with your eyes or be ingested.
