Mepilex Border 295300 is a 4x4 inch all-in-one foam dressing. It is ideal to use on pressure ulcers and other wounds with moderate to high levels of exudate. The dressing absorbs and traps the exudate while maintaining a moist environment for the wound bed to promote an optimal healing environment. Mepilex Border dressing also uses Safetac technology to create a seal around the wound. This seal reduces the risk of maceration by preventing the exudate from leaking onto the healthy skin around the wound. The Safetac layer will not damage the wound or skin around the wound when changing the dressing either. Nor will it cause additional pain to the patient. In addition to treating wounds, this foam dressing works well to prevent pressure ulcers when used with standard prevention procedures.
